Millridge Parent Teacher Group (PTG)
Welcome Letter
2025-2026
Welcome back Mustangs!
On behalf of the Millridge PTG, we would like to welcome all new and welcome back returning families for the 2025-2026 school year! For those of you who are not familiar, PTG is a group of parents, teachers, and support staff who are dedicated to enhancing our children’s education in innovative, fun and engaging ways!! We look forward to meeting those who would like to get involved with PTG this year.
Our goal:
PTG stands for Parent Teacher Group, consisting of parents and teachers working together toward a common goal to support and enrich all students. That goal, simply stated, is creating a better school and better educational experience for our children. We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers, administrators, and support staff can do their best work to support our children. We cannot do this without the support of our families and community. Thank you for supporting and helping PTG provide the best opportunities to our students.
Why join PTG?
Millridge PTG is a valuable organization in which all students benefit! Joining PTG is a great way to meet families and school staff, share ideas and be active in developing educational and enrichment opportunities for our school and students. We encourage all families to get involved and help grow and support our children.
With the support of our families, the PTG has been able to provide our school and students with valuable resources, programs, and fun! In the past, we have been able to purchase items such as a 3D printer, indoor garden for our synergy room, a rock wall in our gym, and most recently a gaga pit for our playground! We have also been able to provide financial support for Great Readers, Art Docent, classroom parties, recess equipment, supplies for classrooms, and one of our favorites, Winter Workshop! PTG also organizes events like Morning Muffins, Scholastic Book Fairs, and spirit wear sales.
The above are just a small list of everything PTG offers throughout the school year.
Commitment level:
We encourage everyone to be an active member of the PTG, but the level of involvement is up to you! There are no mandatory meetings or volunteer hour requirements, but attending our once-a-month meetings are a great way to stay current on what is happening at Millridge. There are many ways to volunteer and get involved through our PTG. You can choose how often you would like to volunteer. For example, some of our programs have a need for work at home and some only require a few hours a month, while special events could involve a higher commitment.
Join us October 8th at 7:00 PM at Millridge in the Synergy classroom to learn more about PTG.
The more help we have, the better our events and programs will be for our students. It takes a team to get these programs up and running. When we all work together, it enriches our students’ opportunities.
All member meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Synergy classroom. Please note there will be no meeting Wednesday, March 11 due to a school event.
